Optometrist

Dr. Sami was born and raised in this community, and he’s proud to now care for the families he grew up around. After completing his undergraduate studies at Virginia Commonwealth University, he went on to earn his Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. A dreamer and a visionary, Dr. Sami is on a mission to elevate the standard of eye care nationwide. He believes patients deserve more, and his approach reflects that belief—providing the same level of dedication whether he’s caring for a newborn, a working parent, or a veteran. His unique experiences at a VA hospital, combined with his own journey into fatherhood, give him an unmatched ability to connect with patients across every stage of life.

Dr. Sami is among the select few practitioners to earn the rigorous International Academy Certification in Myopia Management (IACMM), a distinction that reflects his deep knowledge and commitment to safeguarding long-term vision health. But what patients often remember most is not just his expertise, but his warmth. He loves to connect with people on a personal level, and once they experience his care, they rarely want to see anyone else.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Sami enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He’s a devoted foodie, always hunting down the best local meals, and a passionate college basketball fan—especially when it comes to cheering on his VCU Rams.
